Bassinaud is about 35 minutes south of the city of Angoulême in the south of the Charente region. High speed TGV trains from Paris reach Angoulême station in about two hours.
Alternatively, Bassinaud is about 90 minutes by road from both Limoges and Bordeaux airports. Both are well served by budget airlines from the UK and across Europe.
The drive from the Eurotunnel and ferry terminals takes between seven and eight hours.
The nearest town to Bassinaud is Montmoreau (8km) which has its own railway station with connections to both Bordeaux and Angoulême.
